The aim of the course:
To have the conceptual knowledge of possible chemical events in ship depending on the conditions and also to conceive and apply the daily tests which are necessary during the navigation.

Contents of the Course
Foundations of chemistry, solutions, solubility and solubility product. Acids and bases. Water chemistry and water treatment. Physical and chemical properties of sea water. Marine pollution. Corrosion and corrosion control. Marine paints. Fuels and lubricants.
