| Definition of bioinorganic compounds, basic theories of coordination chemistry and inorganic chemistry and examination of the structures of bioinorganic compounds, examination of the elements of living systems, geometric and electronic examination of metals in metal-containing biological systems, iron biochemistry, examination of hemoglobin (Hb) and myoglobin (Mb) structures, examination of redox biological systems, zinc metabolism, definition of bioorganometallic chemistry, examination of electron transfer in metal-containing biological systems, calcium biochemistry, oxygen transport and storage, examination of cytochrome P-450 and coenzyme B12 structures, examination of iron-sulfur proteins and non-heme iron structures, nitrogen binding, examination of photosynthesis. |
