The aim of the course:
To provide knowledge and skills about the botanical properties, chemical structures, medicinal properties and usage of medicinal plants.

Contents of the Course
Plants and their classification according to their economic value. Medicinal plants and their historical development. Identification and chemical structures of medicinal plants. Classification of drugs, types of preparation, and methods of use. Plant poisoning and first aid. Ethnobotany and ethnobotanical studies in Turkey. Botanical properties of some important medicinal plants, drug properties, purposes, and methods of use.
