The aim of the course:
To introduce laboratory management systems and to gain the ability to serve as a chemistry laboratory manager. To introduce the necessary knowledge and skills, tools and equipment to ensure a safe working environment in the laboratory, and to ensure that they can apply the techniques safely.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : They will learn the safety precautions in the laboratory, the labels and classes of chemical substances.3 - 6 - 71,
LO - 2 : Learn the health, fire, explosion and environmental risks of chemical substances and take the necessary precautions1,
LO - 3 : Lists the technical and human resource (managerial) requirements of laboratory management.1,
LO - 4 : Defines the ISO 17025 standard documentation requirements for the laboratory.1,
LO - 5 : Defines the ISO 17025 standard documentation requirements for the laboratory.1,
LO - 6 : It determines sampling, validation of analytical test methods, analysis and control procedures and techniques. It expresses the nature of measurement uncertainty and how it is reflected in the results.1,
LO - 7 : Understands the arrangements made for measurement equipment, calibrations, traceability of tests, and proficiency tests.
LO - 8 : It meets the requirements of the laboratory integrated management system, including quality, health, safety and environment.1,
LO - 9 : Explains the laboratory evaluation and accreditation process.1,

Contents of the Course
Basic concepts of laboratory management, documentation of laboratory management systems, human resources management, technical management, quality control, laboratory records and reports, GLP, ISO 17025 standard, system development, conformity assessment processes, accreditation, the importance of safety in the chemistry laboratory, toxic substances, health of chemical substances, fire, explosion and environmental risks, protection methods.
