The aim of the course:
students will visit and see different mining, excavation, ore preparation and processing techniques and, in this way, increase technical and practical knowledge of mining engineering.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :

Contents of the Course
A technical visit to an underground mine and flotation plants, a technical visit to Gümüşhane Koza underground mine and Au process plant, a technical visit to Eti Bakır A.Ş. Murgul Cu open pit mine and flotation plant, a technical visit to MTA drilling and soil etud workings and/or trip to similar operations, a technical visit for tunnel boring/excavation application. In this scope, open pit mining methods and applications, slope stability analysis, open pit design, underground mining and methods, mine ventilation and lightening principles, mine support systems, tunneling excavation and support systems, cement and brick resources and production principles, ore processing principles, flolation methods and principles, leachnig of Au and processing principles, coal preparation and processing principles, productivity of mining equipments will be studied.
