| Basic refrigeration cycles and concepts. Thermodynamic analysis of vapor compression refrigeration systems. Components of vapor compression refrigeration systems: Compressors, evaporators, condensers, expansion devices, and auxiliary and control devices. Refrigerants. Heat transfer in refrigeration systems and cooling load calculations. Pipe sizing in refrigeration systems. Examples of cold storage systems. Alternative refrigeration systems. |
