The aim of the course:
To develop a conceptual understanding of medical tourism, understand medical tourism market and medical tourism industry, understand issues in treatment processes (including quality, safety and risk) in terms of medical tourism, understand system-level implications of medical tourism for countries of origin and destination, know substantial political and ethical issues related to practices of medical tourism.

Concept of medical tourism, medical tourism market and industry, treatment process, client expectations in medical tourism, legal and ethical issues in medical tourism, economic, social and institutional aspects of medical tourism, system implications for country of origin and destination country, medical tourism in Turkey, studies in the field of medical tourism.
