The aim of the course:
This course is designed to present an introduction to the general concept of phylogenetic systematics.

Contents of the Course
Aim and principles. Tasks and methods of taxonomy, the position of systematics among the biological sciences, the general concepts of systematics, taxonomic evidence and biological characters, phylogenetic methods, the evolution of phylogenetic systematics.
