The aim of the course:
The objective of the course is to enable students to learn about diseases that can occur in different body systems and acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for the proper management of these diseases both in pre-hospital and emergency department settings.

Contents of the Course
Drug administration routes, pharmaceutical drug forms, local drug administration routes, systemic drug administration routes, presystemic elimination, enterohepatic circulation; evaluation of digestive system diseases, abdominal anatomy, division of the abdomen into topographic regions, abdominal evaluation stages, features in anamnesis and physical examination; digestive system emergencies, esophageal and stomach diseases, small and large intestine diseases, liver and gallbladder diseases; Emergency approach to abdominal pain, source of abdominal pain and types of pain, characteristics of abdominal pain, first approach to the patient presenting with abdominal pain, points to be considered in physical examination; endocrine system, endocrine glands and their functions, hormones and their properties; endocrine system diseases, pituitary gland diseases, thyroid gland diseases, pancreatic diseases, surrenal gland diseases; diabetes mellitus, diabetes mellitus classification, clinical findings, diagnostic criteria, acute and chronic complications and management; fluid electrolyte balance, properties of body fluids, distribution of body fluids, electrolytes in body fluids and their functions, acid-base balance, conditions occurring in acid-base imbalances, fluid electrolyte movements; infectious diseases, microorganisms, defense systems of the body against disease, immunity, signs of infection, evaluation of the patient with infection, ensuring the safety of health personnel; genitourinary system, structure, functions and duties of kidneys, structure and duties of ureters, structure and duties of bladder, structure and duties of urethra, terms in urinary system diseases, evaluation of urinary system diseases; urogenital diseases, renal failure, glomerulonephritis, nephrotic syndrome, kidney stones, kidney tumors, cystitis, female genital system diseases, male genital system diseases
