The aim of the course:
Clinically and radiologically diagnose the orthodontic malocclusions and to perform simple to moderate level treatments.
 
Learning OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : competent to diagnose orthodontic treatment need 11,4,
LO - 2 : be familiar with contemporary orthodontic treatment tecniques 11,4,
LO - 3 : have knowledge about cephalometric analysis11,4,
LO - 4 : be compenent to design, insert and adjust space maintainers,active removable appliances to move a single tooth or correct a crossbite11,4,
CTPO : Contribution to programme outcomes, TOA :Type of assessment (1: written exam, 2: Oral exam, 3: Homework assignment, 4: Laboratory exercise/exam, 5: Seminar / presentation, 6: Term paper), LO : Learning Outcome

 
Contents of the Course
Diagnosis of orthodontic malocclusions Radiographic records and orthodontic analysis Detailed orthodontic examination and medical history per patient Treatment of simple orthodontic problems with removable appliances.
