The aim of the course:
The aim of this course is to teach all local anesthetic materials used and applied in dentistry in pre-graduation education, application methods, complications and toxicity.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : Defines anesthesia, knows the history of anesthesia, defines the indications for its application in dentistry. 1,3,71,
LO - 2 : Knows the structure of the nerve. Explains nerve polarization and depolarization and signal transmission. Explain the role of anesthesia in inhibiting this signal transduction.11,
LO - 3 : Defines and classifies local anesthetics. Knows the mechanism of action and breakdown of local anesthesia. Knows the contents of local anesthetic ampoules.1,71,
LO - 4 : Knows and lists vasoconstrictor substances used in local anesthesia. Knows the indications and contraindications of vasoconstrictor. Distinguish local anesthetics in clinical practice.1,2,71,
LO - 5 : Knows the anatomy of the trigeminal nerve. Knows the sensory innervations of the trigeminal nerve. Knows the motor innervations of the trigeminal nerve.1,71,
LO - 6 : Knows the indications for local anesthesia in dentistry. Knows the contraindications of local anesthesia in dentistry. Knows, distinguishes and decides the application techniques of local anesthesia according to the region.1,71,
LO - 7 : Defines regional anesthesia, knows and lists its techniques. Knows the complications of regional anesthesia and the consequences of errors made during application. Knows and explains the anatomical location of regional anesthesia.1,71,
LO - 8 : Knows the complications of local anesthesia and the consequences of errors made during application. Knows and explains the application of local anesthesia in patients with systemic history. Knows and explains the method of local anesthesia application in pregnant women.1,71,
LO - 9 : Defines toxicity. Knows the clinical signs of toxicity, distinguishes them in the clinic. Defines and explains clinical idiosyncrasy.1,71,
