The aim of the course:
To understand dental terminology, Getting to know hand instruments used in filling, To understand the embryological and histological structure of the tooth, To understand oral microflora, dental plaque development, structure and composition,To learn the principles of cavity preparation. To understand the mechanism of caries, etiology of dental caries, the relationship between nutrition and caries, To teach the diagnosis and classification of caries, To teach dental cements, cavity varnishes and liners, properties of amalgam and intraoral applications, To comprehend the principles of basic adhesion. To teach resin restorations

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :

LO - 7 : Know application, polish and varnish of composite1,4
LO - 8 : Know dental and developmental anomalies1,4
LO - 9 : Know; development and diagnosis of caries, preventative dentistry applications 1,4
LO - 10 : Apply caries preventive and protective practices, define dental caries in terms of need for restoration or preventive application1,4
